The Sunday Medi-Track - Boy George - Video Games Cover

THE BOY GEORGE

This week's Sunday Medi-Track comes in the form of  the delightful and eccentric 'Boy George'.  He has recently done a cracking, country-esk cover of 'Video Games'.  So let his unique and pitch-full tones sooth that sore head after a destructive Saturday night !

 He still got it !!!

Lana Del Rey - Lift Your Eyes & Ride or Die

Two delightful new demo's from 'Camp Lana' made there way into blogland a couple of days ago (officially or unofficially we are not yet sure).

100% YES

So what is next for Lana then, well my initial thoughts are good, very good in DEED. 'Lift your Eyes' is first up! I love the pan pipe electronics and crunchy vocals that you can hear at the start of the track, which seem to fade into all kinds of sweetness towards the end. Lets hope this demo gets off the ground.

The second is only a snippet of 'Ride or Die', but I think you get the impression that Lana aint going anywhere !!

Lana Del Rey - Yayo

DOUBLE BILL

It's a Lana double bill this week, as she has put out 'YAYO' and 'Off to the Races' within days of each other.

With YAYO she is putting on a show for us ! and particularly a show for some type of tiger ! RurrrrR !

This track is slower then previous releases and doesn't have the initial impact like 'Born' or 'Video Games'. To be fair it's probably a B-side type track. This doesn't mean the track is pants, far from it!   'Yayo' invites you to listen to some sweet, soft, vocals without any effects (and probably limited production), but this ensures that you can hear her talent is its rawest form.

LIGHT OF MY LIFE - FIRE IN MY LOINS

Yes, my darling Lana you are the light of my life and the fire in my loins!

'Off to the Races' is Lana's 2012 single from her mega album 'Born to Die'.  Yet again Lana displays such class and the video is original and as eye catching as EVER.

Pop Blimp's two point 'Lana' plan:

1. ITS GOING TO SMASH YOU RIGHT UP
2. ADORE THE CLASS - SO MUCH CLASS, IT ACTUALLY HURTS

Lana Del Rey - Born to Die

STOP - LOOK - LISTEN

Pop Blimp are predicting a MEGA 2012 for Lana Del Rey.  With two pretty amazing tracks released this year 'Blue Jeans' and 'Video Games', we are screeching with excitement to tell you about her latest escapade.

So what is new with a the darling Lana?

Well, her Album 'Born to Die' is due to be released early January 2012 and we CAN NOT WAIT to get our hands on a copy.  To get us in the mood (and fair enough, a rather sad mood) the album track and video are working there way around the blogosphere, so make sure you stop and listen.

Pop Blimp artist of the year goes to.....

LANA DEL REY

Where is my Lana Del Rey flag?

..........X2 insane anthems in one release..........

Just how big will Lana Dey Rey get? Pop Blimp think it is going to be a revolution, and we have made flags - 'Hollywood Sad Core' flags. *mouse in right hand, flag in the left, starring at glass of wine wishing I had three hands*

The new video from Lana Del Rey is going down just as well as 'Video Games' ever could:
