Saint Saviour - Midnight City (M83 Cover)

Beautiful. Fragile. Cover.

Saint Saviour's voice has been haunting the speakers of Pop Blimp. The consequence of such is that she continues to haunt our heads. Her delicate vocals contrast against the dark drones of the track, and its something you often hear in her own work. This cover of M83's 'Midnight city' is to die for, now die a little further:

Still breathing?

Jess Mills - End Credits

Jess Mills has captured our eyes and hearts before, from the yearning warbles of 'Live For What I Die For, through to the more synthetic filled 'Pixelated People'. Her version of 'End Credits' (originally by Chase & Status feat Plan B) take the track to a new heights on the emotional Richter scale.

Listen but hold on to something stable.
Brace yourself, this goes deep:

Make it out alive?

Lisse - Go Your Own Way

DELICIOUS COVER ALERT
WARNING: YOU WILL WANT SOME TEA

Lissie's debut album kind of passed us by here at Pop Blimp, which we all now feel very guilty for. Maybe we will revisit it, maybe we won't dare. Who knows, its a crazy world with live in and Lissie is an actual Oyster.

Her latest release (Covered Up With Flowers) is a set of well known songs, covered and reformatted to match her own style. Some are triumphs, some are not. Either way, her cover of 'Go Your Own Way' is arresting, beautiful and haunting.

It's been snapped up by those clever folks at Twinings Tea to soundtrack their current advert. A nice recipe for a little bit of £ all round.
Lovely.

Birdy sings, the sweetest things...

NEW OBSESSION ALERT

Most people in the UK will have heard of Birdy because of her cover of Bon Iver's 'Skinny Love'. Well, she is back with another track and it is just as beautiful. This time she takes on 'Shelter' by The XX.

Well, wasn't that just a little bit lovely? The remix by Photek is a bit of a killer.
